One lesson that I learned is that whoever you are interviewing you should always put them in their environment. If you don't have a microphone you have to get closer. Put multiple people on your list to interview incase if your first person doesn't work out. Before you start check all your equipment and say " Say your name and spell it". Use follow up questions.

I chose my six word story "before you are known they talk" because if u think about it it has a deeper background than you think it can mean a lot of things like when nobody knows you but they still talk about you when they don't know your background. My first shot was a low angle, I picked this angle because I think that it will look good because you can't see the face reveal from the back. My second shot was a birds eye view I picked this shot because it still wasn't a face reveal so it would make the story look more interesting leaving you clueless on who she really is. My third shot is a wide shot, I picked this shot because you can finally see the face the deeper background detail. My fourth shot is an extreme close up of the eyes which leads into more detail of what are they thinking, are they thinking why are people judging me if they don't really know me. My fifth shot is a medium shot of the words they talk because it reveals what they are thinking. My sixth shot is a shadow shot it leaves the audience clueless on where did the actor go what happened to them. The story ends in a suspenseful way. The challenges that I had about this project is picking my shots like what order I should put them in and how they would match with my story, what shot am I go do my face reveal in.
What I liked about the cinematography and editing on Final Cut pro is that you can go out and do more stuff with the camera like film different shots. My favorite shot is a birds eye view because with it you can see the action that's happening from a different point of view. I liked editing in final cut pro because their are lots of things that you can do in there for example, you can cut a video into many different pieces. It also has a lot of fades and transitions that they do in the movies. Another thing I like about editing is that it is all kind of music that can go with your video and make it seem more interesting.
Some six word stories that I was inspired by is (so many passwords, so little memories). What i learned about six word stories is that they are interesting and have lots of meaning behind them, like some can be really deep and some can be just for fun. My story came out good because it has a deeper meaning behind it and can mean many different things, and get your mind thinking. The significance behind my story is that I have things running through my mind a lot so it relates to me. My story brings a lot of attention to the audience because it starts off with interesting three words. The meaning behind my story is that my thoughts can be focused on anything so it grabs attentions.
Any concepts that apply to shots or any camera type can, basically apply to anything like things that you can think of even if you don't believe it for example, Weddings. Certain camera's have certain techniques each camera should have a headphone jack and a microphone to hear audio. You should always use a tripod because a tripod can save you a lot of time and the video or picture won't be shaky the audience can focus on one thing .Don't ever forget headphones when you are recording, A Pan shot is when the camera is moving left to right, and a Tilting shot is when the camera is moving up and down. When you are shooting a shot try to stay in the frame. They're are three rules for composition, one rule is rule of thirds, eyes on third, talking space. They are good techniques to use.
What I learned about being a floor director is that , it is an easy job but u always have to be focused because when the director is telling you to do something you have to do it or the show won't look right. What I also like about this job is that you get to give a countdown and kind of be hidden so the camera can't see you. Another job that I liked was Talent and I liked it because you are on camera and if you was shy then you would get used to it, it feels like you are the stars of the show, the audience are paying attention to the people that are on camera which is talent one and 2. A lesson that I learned about working the soundboard is that you have to focus on the sound of the talent people because if they start talking low or louder you have to adjust the sound for it to sound good, you also have to communicate with the Director so they can tell the floor director to tell the talent to do certain things. What I learned about being a director is that it is no0t easy but also fun because, you have full control over the show like if it doesn't look or sound right to you then you can start over the show.

What I liked about the iMovie project is that you can experience like different techniques about I movie, choose different templates so that it can fit your experience. What I learned about the project is that you can be creative and express yourselves in different ways like, thru a simple video. The challenges that I faced is putting the right pictures to describe me and find a lot of old pictures. I overcame it by, just putting pictures in and then rearranging them, and then putting them in order. What I would do differently is pick different pictures. |
